I'll overwhelm 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.

Ex two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As both boxers engaged in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really happening.
